Cataract surgery & ischemic stroke? |
My grandmother is 83. She has recently undergone eye cataract surgery for her left eye and after 3 days she suffered an ischemic stroke. It's been more than 6 months since that and she is planning to undergo a surgery for her right eye (she also has a cataract at this one eye too). Is it possible that she suffers a second stroke? Please, provide a detailed response if possible. TIA's is tranquill ischemic attacks my mother has them also, supposedly the mini strokes or tia's can lead up to a major stroke due to blockages. my mother does'nt have them often but when she does i've taken her to the hospital. the last one she had the doctor said when she has another one, wait and see if it subsides, usually 3 to 4 hrs, she's alright and if it lasts longer than that get her to the hospital |
