Cataract removal?

Is it necessary to go off blood thinner to have cataract surgury?

Answer - No

cataracts are not done by lasers......

They are done by ultrasound, yes, there can be some bleeding, but it is minimal.

Better to stay on the blood thinner than have a stroke or heart attack

and - why is this question under the cancer section?

make sure that your surgeon uses ultrasound and not the older way (extracap) with stitches Report It

Consult your doctor.
It doesn't sound like a necessity. There is no blood involved in cataract removal. It's done by laser, takes a very short time, no anesthetic, no pain.
