Can cataract cause tiredness?

I have a cataract in my right eye due to my other eye problem (Retinitis Pigmentosa) and i'm due to have the op to have it removed in March so it's in it's late stages now. It's very sensitive to light and very blurry, I was just wondering if anyone knows if it can cause tiredness. I'm getting very tired early at night and waking up very tired when i wake up and most of the day.

Cheers,

James

No, cataract doesn't cause tiredness, but may cause psychological problem because of lack of independence.I advise you to do operation for cataract ,because patients have both cataract and pigmentary retinopathy (retinitis pigmentosa) benifit much after removal of cataract.

It's unlikely that your eye problems could be causing an overall condition such as tiredness. You COULD be getting tired simply from the stress caused by your vision difficulties, however. If you are concerned, it's always good to talk with your doctor.

Good luck.

Try to go and get your surgery ASAP , Is probably that you are stress from not seeing.
