Dose eyes cataract leed to glaucoma if neglected?

if so,how long dose it take to become a glaucoma.what is the best treatment for cataract.i am a diabetic2nd type,57 yrs old.dose working with computer aggriviate the problem?.

Glaucoma and cataracts are typically unrelated. Glaucoma is a disease that affects your optic nerve, while cataracts are an age-related clouding of the lens inside your eye. The only treatment for cataract is to have it removed by a surgeon. (Your eye doctor can evaluate your cataract and advise you as to whether or not you're a good candidate for surgery.) If you have a family history of glaucoma, your eye doctor should run some tests to check for that as well. Working on the computer will not aggravate either condition.

glaucoma and cataracts are two different eye ailments

Cataracts are a clouding of the lens of the eye; glaucoma is increased pressure within the orb. The damage it causes is on the retina and primarily on the macular portion of the retina. As a diabetic, the latter would be in need of the greater concern.

well wat i know is that glaucoma can cause eye cataract but not vice versa . if you want to treat your cataract you should always take care of your diet & your blood pressure . i would advice a laser operation to remove the cataract .

Does!! Not dose! Dose, a unit of measurement used when prescribing medicine.
