Can anyone tell me what to expect after cataract surgery? |
I had cataract surgery today on my right eye. I am so scared. My eyelid is sort of droopy still. I had the surgery about 8 hrs ago. When I make an effort to open my eye wider, I notice that I maybe have double vision and that things that should be in my right peripheral vision are seen w/o me focusing to the right. As if these objects are in my direct line of site. Also the Dr who operated stated that he wanted to refer me to a retina specialist because sometimes cataract can be "tricky." I do have a post op appt with my optometrist on tomorrow. Help, does anyone have any idea what's going on? Having worked with Opthalmologists and helping them do cataract surgery and seeing the patient post operatively I don't know that I have ever heard a patient state what you have stated. Since technically sergery was just done on your eye your going to have messed up vision. It should go away in a few days. |
