I am disabled and need cataract surgery?

I have COPD, diabetes, congestive heart failure, torn ACL and LCL ligaments in my knee and now I find I have to have cataract surgery in my right eye. I am so afraid of having this surgery. Is it a bad operation? I feel like I have been crying for the past 4 weeks, since I found out, or am I just being silly. I am 55 years old and a grandmother of 5 and I used to be a very strong person and everyone still looks to me for help.

Hey nana, My landlord just had the surgery done about 5weeks ago in one eye and just had the other eye done about one week ago he said nothing to it in fact he doesn't even wear glasses any more! So chin up and just think every thing is going to be so much clearer after it's done . eye surgery is scary but they have come a long ways with it in the last few years Good luck

Hi nana ... everyone gets scared at the thought of surgery ...

Your surgeon will be well qualified and you are in the best hands ....

You are a strong person and i am sure you will be fine ..

Make sure you pack your best nightie and some makeup .. doctors these days are very nice looking ...

That has to be a plus side to going into hospital .. keep smiling and take care xxxxxxxxx
