I'll be operated for cataract and i have an 18lbs baby? |
I'll be operated for a cataract but i have a 7 mos old baby weighing 18lbs. is it ok to carry her after the surgery (I mean during the two weeks of convalescence which follow the surgery). I had it done on both eyes. I was told to watch the lifting & also to try to stop sneezes & hard coughing for a few days because it could do damage. your optomologist should tell you these things.. ASK Him! |

If you just had cataract surgery recently and your vision is getting worse you should call the surgeon now. If you had surgery a while ago and now it is getting fuzzy you might need a membrane zapp... Pupil reactions will normally be normal, after both surgeries, though there is a small risk of having fixed or irregularly shaped pupils. The retina wouls still retain its light-adaptive propertie... My mom had this done when she was about 60 and it was 750 $ an eye. She had worn glasses prior and they also inserted these permanent contact len's into each eye. This one done thru mt carme...
