What will be the basic expense for a cataract operation in pune?

my mother age 50 and suffering from diabetiese needs to get a cataract operation done. can anyone tell which hospital or doctor to visit that would not be too heavy on the pocket.

My mom had this done when she was about 60 and it was 750 $ an eye. She had worn glasses prior and they also inserted these permanent contact len's into each eye.
This one done thru mt carmel hospital in columbus ohio.

I know someone else who has had this done also and it was about the same price.

Good luck to your mom!

if your mom's sugar level will be down to normal before the opration starts, then she has a great chance fo getting thru
with the cataract operation.

The basic expense for Cataract operation ranges from Rs. 50,000/- to Rs. 3,83,793/-
The doctor's fees depends upon the operation procedure and the treatment provided.

expense? negligible. contact a nearest govt or NGO opthalmic hospital.

Its a simple surgery.

dont go to pvt docs. they squeeze u to dry

In chennai it cost slightly less than Rs 20000 for each eye... since your mom is a diabetic you may need to spend a little over Rs 1500 to bring down sugar levels and for the extra medicine and care it requires at the hospital before sugery...You can contact Dr Agarwal eye hospital or Sankaraneethralaya or Prems eye clinic in chennai and get the first hand information about the cost for catract laser treatment..Get the telephone no from the BSNL telephone directory web site... may god give good health to your mom
