What is the meaning of multifocal lens with respect to cataract surgery?

this is with reference to cataract surgery i would like to know regarding this multifocal lens used during cataract surgery merits and demerits. I would like to know the prices between normal and multifocal lens.

the prices and merits are questions for your opthalmologust to answer but multifocal simply means that it will help with both far and near sightedness. One good reason to think of multifocal is because it is not as easy to replace as is a lens in the glasses. After cataract removal they place the lens inside the eye, good luck
