How much does it cost for cataract eye surgery in India?


I am trying to help someone get surgery in India. I am not sure how much cataract surgery in one eye would cost in India. If anyone can help me out, I'd appreciate it. It is for a good cause.

You have two good answers both worth considering.

u did not specify the place where u want to do it.
if u want to do simple cataract eye surgery it takes about Rs.8000/- in kolkata fo one eye.
if u want to do micro/ feco-surgery then it may cost about Rs.15000/-per eye in kolkata.
u can go for lassik laser operation which cost about Rs.30000/- per eye in kolkata.
in chennai , hyderabad & bengaluru it may take somewhat more.
'sankar netralaya' is the best.
in mumbai &delhi it will take much more.
