I have CSD!?

Cat scratch disease or fever. I know all about it except how to tell if it is going away. Has an yone had this? The mass is startinmg to get soft areas and its burning more, turning red and hot. Is it coming to the surface? should try to help it along?
please advise.

Sounds to me like you might be developing an abscess. You might want your doctor to take a look at it. It might need aspiration of the mass (??or incision and drainage - usually try to avoid this).

Generally speaking, CSD settles down by itself. Antibiotics would be used if you were very very unwell with it.

You can usually tell if it is going away because you feel better and the fevers settle. Swollen lymph glands can take months to settle down and you're usually much better before that.
