Can anyone refer me to an article that proves that cats can infect children with tapeworm or any other disease

I have a friend who lets stray cats into his house with his 6 year old child. He doesn't take the cats to the vet. Can the cats cause harm to his daughter? I'm not so much concerned with scratching, etc. but what kind of diseases they might expose her to.

I believe the only way the child could get worms is by eating the cats infected feces. There might be other ways.
There are other things the cats could have especially if they have never been given vaccines.
I have attached below some (what I think) helpful websites.
