Is carpal tunnel syndrome curable with just surgery and is it both my wrist because of a green stick fracture?

when i was six yrs old i fell off a swing and i green stick fractured both my wrist.well for yrs now after i have suffered with loss of strength and pain but the last yr has got so bad its hurting with everyday thing like puting on my coat and holding shopping its pain even just relaxing will surgery help ?

Dont do surgery unless you have tried all options including, wear splints at night, take Vitamin B complex twice a day
Try carpal tunnel exrecises, physical therapy, ultrasound or hydrocortisone injections, along with rest, etc.

i had surgery 5 yrs ago for carpal tunnel following an injury and i've been fine since. Good luck

My brother had surgery and still suffers with carpal tunnel syndrome....

my mum had the surgery and she still suffers now.

my husband is a guitarist and has just had an op for carpal tunnel 3 weeks ago, one week ago he started playing the guitar again and he's said its absolutely amazing the difference the op has made. i had a green stick fracture too when i was younger and also have carpal tunnel but my doc said it was due to typing (i'm a secretary) however i'm only 32. if my husband hadn't had the op then he wouldn't have been able to carry on playing guitar, he was very sceptical about it but says he would recommend it to everyone (he's 53).

In the last year, I've successfully treated 5 cases of carpal tunnel syndrome with homoeopathy so I can say it works well. Haven't had any failures but people have to be patient - it takes a few treatments usually - but even very bad cases can be helped. Please be sure to see a regisitered practitioner - you can find one through The Society of Homeopaths.

I had carpal in both wrists..and it's terrible. Never considered surgery but when I was visiting my chiropractor, who also specializes in accupuncture, he suggested we try it.
I tried it and within 10 treatments over the course of a month, my carpal is totally gone. No pain whatsoever.

I was told about this sugary years ago. Not good enough odds for me. When they get up there in the ninety percentile of success, then again I do not just have carpal tunnel like I was diagnosed years ago with....

Hi there

My mum had carpal tunnel and she was in a lot of pain, so much that her hand had a numb feelling and tingling feelings, she suffered alot, until the doctor advised the operation. She was very reluctant at first but thought because of the pain and the danger aspect because the numbness made it dangarous when holding even a cup of coffee because she had no grip, anyhow she had one wrist done last summer, and its the best thing she did, the syptoms are gone and she was only in hospital for a day, the drwback was she had to have 6 weeks off work it is best to go back to useing the wrist slowly and mum only has a tiny scar. obviously not all surgeons are not as good as the next but mum was lucky and she is having the other wrist done this summer. We do live in the Uk. I hope this gives some help to you and good luck.
