What careers would be ideal for someone with social anxiety?

i have no friends, no interest in anything really, i'm not good with people, i hate talking, i'm not very smart.. so i'm having a hard time thinking of something i'd be capable of. how would someone like me go about finding out what job would best suit them? like where should i start?

I think that maybe you should work on your socail skills. You will be better off in the long run.

online or telephone Tech support

Anything you can do from home. Clearly you have a computer - the possibilities are endless.

places like eBay.com is a good one at times

You'd probably want a job that doesn't involve much contact with people. There are many mathematical and engineering jobs that are like this.
To be really basic, take a job as a janitor on the night shift in a hospital, or become a mechanic, or get a night job in a factory. You could work as a dairy hand.

i have bad anxiety . but not such low self esteem.
build your self esteem you're ( I'll bet ) a lot smarter and capable than you think you are.
your on the computer fro one i know many who are afraid and cant do it!
i d say take a junior college course or ask high school counselor to help you do aptitude and interest tests.
then you match them .what you have potential in with what you'd like to do .. and boom. many possibilities
or you can do research and you'll get smart after reading enough
one way to feel smarter is start reading one of the big papers (at least one opinion or editorial daily) . you'll smarten up fast.
or get involved in one of the current political campaigns you can sit at a table or do envelope stuffing many important bu t not so verbal things if your not comfortable on phones or other..
i was just at an Obama training weekend and there were music majors PhD stay at home moms bookworms homeless wealthy all together.. great everyone..
many were nervous at first but all were learning and it was a very enthusiastic group so it was great..

join some meetups.com in politics or any interest is good too.

you could try to be a computer programmer, or roll up newspapers if you have someone in your family who does a paper run. I no when i did it rolling them up was the worst part!!
