How do I start a career in fitness?

I am making a career change, from law to fitness. Fitness has been a lifelong passion of mine. As a kid, I skied (and taught skiing), danced (and taught dance), and ran. As an adult, I go to the gym 5 times a week; I do cardio, lift weights, go to classes, swim. I worked at a Y for a while, directing a youth fitness program (unfortunately the Y doesn't pay well enough). I have some Y certifications, and a BA that is totally unrelated to fitness (in economics), so I'm basically starting out from scratch. I don't know exactly what kind of career in fitness I might like to pursue... what are the options? I am looking for any and all starter tips. Classes, certifications, books, DVDs, websites/forums... anything to get my new career path started. Also, feel free to email me if you have lots of advice or if you think you can help/mentor. Thanks!

i'm going with Can-Fit-Pro

go to:
www.canfitpro.com

what about becoming a personal trainer?
or you could teach group exercise classes
or become the fitness director at a gym
