Career change from chef to surgical technologist is this a good road to go graduated in 1980 took med classes? |
im burned out with culinary arts are there ppl that completly do a career change such as this & can they be successfull i mean cooking is all i have done sinse 1987 i have tried afew things but never lasted more than a month im just thinking about this dont really know how serious iam & dont want to get a student loan only to fail 2 months into it & what about the experience is learning at a school & graduating Experience enough for a Hospital We had a x-ray tech program start at the local junior college start up a couple years ago. First two classes were full of people who started with something else including a student who was a world class chef(she lost her sense of smell). So you shouldn't have any problem other than the "paying your dues" part.GOOD LUCK I know a guy who was an ER trauma nurse for over 12 years and quit to become a chef!! He was very happy with the change. If you want the change, then you will be happy with it.. change is good, do what you feel will satisfy your interests! |
