Cardiomyopathy and treadmills?

I have heart disease and I was diagnosed at age 13 now I am age 19 and I was exercising tonight and the heart rate moniter said my pulse was 195 . Should I be worried on a medical standpoint or is that fine because I have cardiomyopathy. Please do not answer with see your cardiologist I want to know your personal opinion

I have to stop when I feel I need to stop exercising and I have dilated cardiomyopathy

that is not good it is dangerous for your heart rate to be that high, and depending on what type of cardiomyopathy you have your dr should have limited your activity as tireing yourself out is dangerous, and i know you said you dont want to hear it but you do need to follow up with ur dr as they may need to run tests and change ur meds.

I am not a doctor, so please take my opinions with a grain of salt. However, my wife has cardiomyopathy, so I feel at least qualified to give you an opinion.

A pulse that high may be due to an arrythmia, or it may be due to normal exercise. If you feel that your heart is "racing", I would suspect some sort of arrythmia.

If you have been diagnosed with cardiomyopathy, you should be on beta blockers and ace inhibitors at the target dosages. If you aren't, you need to find a heart failure specialist who can advise you of the risks you are taking.

I also strongly recommend cardio rehab, where you can exercise with a heart monitor and a nursing staff that can advise you on a good exercise regimen for you. My wife has cardiomyopathy and has found these rehab sessions to be very safe and educational.
