Viral cardiomyopathy?

I have been told i have viral cardiomyopathy . Please tell me what you know. Is it really deadly? Im worried now.

This is something you need to discuss with your doctor. There's no room for misinformation on a place like Y/A with something like cardiomyopathy.

I agree with the first answer. Left untreated you could have permanent heart muscle damage.

I have the same thing. I almost died. You need to do everything your doctors are telling you. It really damaged my heart and I take several medications each day. I have been on them since this happened about 6 yrs. ago. It leaves you with heart disease and you can not cure heart disease. If you go to http://www.webmd.com they have professionals there that can answer your questions. They helped me so much when this first happened to me. They gave me great information and support. I wish you good luck. BTW it is caused from a virus that you contact and for some reason it just decided to attack your heart. It was nothing you did. Just a fluke virus. I had never heard of it until it happened to me. I hope they caught yours earlier then mine was caught.

Like the above answers, this is not the best place to get the information you need. I think you should to sit down and make a list of questions to ask your cardiologist, that way you can get the most accurate information based on your specific diagnosis.
