More help for dilated cardiomyopathy sufferer?

My stress test is now normal
my ejection fraction is 50%
my echo shows a mild dilated left ventricle
I run, swim, kick a football and ride a mountain bike.
My Ecg is normal.

2 years ago I got pneumonia and I was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. I was insubated (put into a coma) for 60 days and all my organs started failing.

I began recovering (doctors say I am a miracle)
I was put on carvidilol, ace inhibitor, lasix, aldactone and aspirin.

My heart is now as above, the only explanation is either viral or alcohol (I used to drink a bit).

Age now 31.

do I have to stay on meds for rest of life?
will I get back to normal?
will I always have D.Cardiomyopathy?

Let me say, Holy Moley! You are a miracle!
Ok, yes, you'll have to be on meds for the rest of your life...if you stop taking them, you'll stop feeling good, go into CHF, etc...you must take your meds if you want to have any quality of life.
Yes, you'll always have d. c-myo.
What you're feeling now may be your new "normal". ..it sounds like you're able to function (exercise, etc).
Good luck to you!
