Heart rate won't go down after MV repaired?

I had open heart surgery a year ago. I am male 32yrs old.after surgery my heart rate went up to 220 then down to 120. now my normal rate is in 90s. My bood pressure is normal. Heart is working great after cardiac cath. Is there anyone has the same symptom ? or explain what is going on. I got shortness of breath while walking up steps and tired once in a while.

A "normal" heart rate is between 60 and 100 beats per minute; thus, your heart rate falls within normal limits. If your "baseline" rate was significantly lower than what it is now (for example, you used to run 60 bpm and now run over 90), you should mention the change to your physician.
