I am hoping there is a doctor or some wonderful benefactor with either information or other assistance for a wonderful 18yr old young man who right now is in desparate need of heart surgery to repair a congenital heart problem.He is so scared and frightened about his declining health and prospects for the future.He lives with his mother and four siblings in Bacolad City and they cannot afford the medical services that Nico needs. I am paying for him to go to Manila for a complete cardiac examination next week but being here in the United States I am not able to help as much as I can.What I am hoping is to find someone who might have information regarding any doctors who might be able to help or organizations that can help with funding an operation. Sorry I don't live in manila or I would be happy to try to help your friend out. What I suggest is to look for local medical charity groups in his hometown or the capital city.
Most major hospitals have social workers who can give a hand. Or try organising an oline plea for aid through a heart disease or congenital disease support group. You may be able to help him yourself though this means by collecting the donated sums and arranging for his surgery in the best hospital in your city.
