Took "Phen-Fen" in 1997. Am now having cardiac problems. Can this occur 10 yrs later?

Have seen cardiologist, abnormal EKG, he performed an angiogram immediately as he felt I was having a heart attack. Angiogram revealed slight coronory artery disease in lower part of the heart. Recently had Echo. mild mitral valve regurgitation, tricuspid and pulmonary regurgitation. Sometimes my heart beats so slowly, skips beats, and then races. Lasts less than a minute then beats ok again. Anyone experiencing this and if so what is being done for you? Thanks.

I'm guessing you were carrying extra weight and that's why you took the drug in the first place. It is more likely that the extra weight and perhaps a family history are related to your heart problems than a drug you took a decade ago.
