Stress Echo? PLEASE HELP!?

I recently was admitted to the Cardiac Unit after being taken to the hospital by ambulance with Tachycardia, Chest PRESSURE (not pain) Sweaty, dizzy and EXTREMELY thirsty. I had an abnormal ECG. I was later released when my blood work came out showing that I didnt have a heart attack. I just had my "24 Holter Monitor" taken off and had a "Stress Echo" done. When I had the stress echo I had NO symptoms like I did when I was rushed to the hospital. When I asked the doctor he said "from a superfical stance all check out ok, BUT that a cardiologist would have to take a look". What does this mean.... am I in the clear? I am an ex-smoker and am 26. I have a VERY large history of cardiac disease and congenital heart problems in my family. Any help would be great! Thanks!!!!!!

The "DOCTOR" wasnt my normal GP (General Practioner) he was the Doctor preforming the test. I had 3 people in there. 2 Doctors (1 looking at the ECG machine, one doing my blood pressure) and 1 Guy doing the ultrasound of my heart.

Rachel, don't leave it at that. See your doctor and demand more tests. An echo cardiagram and angiogram at the very least. Good luck.

Sounds like everything find. They probably want to just keep a close eye on you. As you know the heart is nothing to play with. That's all. Are u under any stress or do u have any anxiety going on in your life. Just relax and be confrontable that's all. If u can't,just tell the doc. to put u on something for anxiety,u will see a big difference.

Probably just a precaution. When someone your age has problems and with a history like that, your doctor probably wants to consult a specialist to make sure all the bases are covered.
