I have smart plan as an insurance--will they ok an mri for my heart to rule out heart disease--I would rather?

do not have blue cross--had stress test, there is an issue--could be a block,, or just a shadow have to have a cardiac cath, which scares me silly--is it true that I could have a mri where my heart would be shown as slices and i wouldn't have to have a catheter inserted into my femerol artery? Is a cardiac cath needed?I have a week left--what do I do? Should I stop the cardiac cath, and ask for the mri which can slice my heart into many slices, where it can be shown where my problem be? Help

Here is the thing about the cardiac cath -- when they go in to see what is going on in your heart and the vessels - they can also fix it.

Any other test is just going to be an image. Then you will still have to have the cardiac cath anyways to fix it. So why wait - why not get it fixed immediately?

They will sedate you if you need to be if that is what is scaring you. Cardiac caths are very safe - and recovery is fairly quick.
