Cardiac arrest?

I need information on cardiac arrest. What causes them.am i at risk at my age?21 years old?I don't have a major heart condition.I've heard that some cardiac arrests occur without any cause. Is that true? if so,then how do you know how to prevent one?Thank you!

I've been to the hospital and they tell me that it's rare and i should't worry about it but if some happen without a known cause then how would the doctor know?

You worry too much!!! Yes there a cardiac arrest from causes unknown, but believed to be a conduction problem in the hearts electrical system. I have run arrests on people in their, 20 or 30, but most are easily stoppable by using your brain. (ie: don't do so much heroine, don't starve yourself, autoeroticism isn't really all they say it is.)
If you have no serious history concerning your heart, live like you want to live forever; but have have fun!

Cardiac arrest is when the heart tissues are deprived from blood or oxygen. with out it the tissue dies. There are over a billion people in the world and strange things happen all the time. If you are a healthy 21 year old who doesn't do DRUGS don't DRINK in excess Don't smoke,.eat half way right and are not anorexic then your chances of having a heart attack for another 30 years is slim to none. Yes some heart attacks happen for no good reason but like I said your chances of that happening are almost non existent.

Healthy 21 year olds CAN drop dead from cardiac arrest. However, it's so very unlikely that it's not worth worrying about. You're far more likely to die in an auto accident or from homicide or suicide or the long term effects of smoking. If you're interested in avoiding early death, these are the things to focus on.

Sounds like you might be someone who worries a lot. That can be an illness in and of itself - especially if the worry causes a lot of misery. If this might be the case for you, see your regular doctor. A lot of help is available for this!
