Sex after a Cardiac Arrest?

Partner female 45yrs suffers a sudden Cardiac Arrest shortly after sex, took 40 minutes to revive, shocked 8 times before heart started Emergency Room nearly give up after 6 shocks., but went with 2 shocks more. Now my partner is afraid of any sexual activity for fear of a repeat its been 6 months.

She is 5'7 105lbs,This came on all of a sudden.fine one minute then ''pow'' no pulse, eyes open, called 911 did CPR.,Emergency was there quick took over i watched, her body twitched when ''shocked''.It scared the HELLout of me my partner of 11yrs nearly gone.

If her doctor said it was fine, try this.

You could have a heart attack laying there or you could have a heart attack having fun. Which way would you rather go?

Now, the above seems a little mean, but I know men have exactly the same problem and this was something women have told their male partners.

Ogre,

I am a female and had the same thing thing happen to me. You can email me and I can discuss a little more. Hopefully try to help.

Caroline Report It

Well take it slow.....dont rush it or go at all speeds ahead.

Dont rush her - she needs to take to her cardiologist to see if she is strong enough to engage in sexual activity after what she went through. Her heart may not be strong enough to handle the extra work load that that type of activity place on it.
