Is cardiac failure the same as cardiac arrest?

if there is a difference please tell me.

No- they are two different things:

1. Heart failure, also known as congestive heart failure (CHF) means your heart can't pump enough blood to meet your body's needs. Any number of underlying heart conditions can lead to heart failure. Over time, conditions such as coronary artery disease or high blood pressure gradually sap your heart of its strength, leaving it too weak or too stiff to fill and pump efficiently.

You can't reverse many conditions that lead to heart failure, but in some cases, a readily treatable problem could be the cause. Medications can improve the signs and symptoms of chronic heart failure and lead to improved survival. Lifestyle changes, such as exercising, reducing salt intake, managing stress, treating depression, and especially losing excess weight, also can help prevent fluid buildup and improve your quality of life.

2. Cardiac Arrest, also referred to as sudden cardiac death, is the sudden, unexpected loss of heart function (the heart stops), breathing and consciousness. It's a medical emergency that, if not treated immediately results in death.

Sudden Cardiac Arrest-
An electrical problem in the heart causes Sudden Cardiac Arrest when the heart's lower chambers suddenly develop a rapid, irregular rhythm causing the ventricles to quiver rather than contract. This renders the heart an ineffective pump that can no longer supply the body and brain with oxygen.

Heart Attack-
A circulation or 'plumbing' problem of the heart causes a heart attack when one or more of the arteries delivering blood to the heart are blocked. Oxygen in the blood cannot reach the heart muscle, and the heart muscle becomes damaged.

Cardiac Failure-
Heart failure is the pathophysiologic state in which the heart, via an abnormality of cardiac function (detectable or not), fails to pump blood at a rate commensurate with the requirements of the metabolizing tissues and/or pumps only from an abnormally elevated diastolic filling pressure.
Heart failure may be caused by myocardial failure but may also occur in the presence of near-normal cardiac function under conditions of high demand. Heart failure always causes circulatory failure, but the converse is not necessarily the case because various noncardiac conditions (eg, hypovolemic shock, septic shock) can produce circulatory failure in the presence of normal, modestly impaired, or even supranormal cardiac function.

simple answer yes,if your heart stop beating then its cardiac arrest, cardiac failure is basically another word used for arrest

They are similar, but not the same.

Cardiac arrest is when the heart stops, and it can happen to a healthy heart.

Cardiac failure is when the heart stops working properly. It can cause arrest, but it doesn't always do so. And usually a heart which is in cardiac failure is a diseased heart, with some other problems.

Both can usually be jump started with an electrical current, but the one with cardiac arrest is sometimes stopped by an outside force, such as accidental electrocution or a very hard blow to the chest. The electrical impulses which control the heart suddenly stop for one reason or another, but it doesn't necessarily mean the heart itself is unhealthy.

Cardiac failure is generally the result of a disease process of one kind or another, and even if the heart is restarted if it stops, the heart is still unhealthy in some way.

Both lead to death if there isn't quick intervention, but they lead to death for different reasons. Yes, the heart stops beating in both cases, but it stops in one because the heart is interrupted somehow, and in the other because the heart is diseased and cannot do its work properly.

cardic falure is where the heart pumps inefficiently and struggles to provide adequate circulation, fluid buids up in the lungs, liver and dependant areas such as the feet and legs.

In cardiac arrest the heart wither stops (flat lines) or beats in such a way as to produce no circulation. ( VF or ventricular fibrillation.)

Congestive Heart Failure in a nutshell is the heart is not working as strong as it should. Patient's can live with heart failure if it is managed medically and correctly, can allow a patient to live an active life.
Cardiac Arrest, is the heart is no longer beating. CPR is the main treatment for this.

No, a cardiac arrest is when the heart stops beating or stops beating effectively (as is the case in ventricular fibrillation). It is sudden, catastrophic, and is the definition of death, if that person is not given care immediately (and often even if they are) that's it.
Heart failure is the inability of the heart to pump enough blood out to keep up with the body's demand. This is a very common, chronic disease that is often ultimately fatal, but only after years. It can, however, make the person more susceptible to sudden death due to a cardiac arrest (usually due to an arrhythmia) and for this reason some people with heart failure benefit from an implanted defibrillator, or AICD.

No isnt the same!
Cardiac faliour is when thers not enough oxygenated blood going around the body so you feel tiered, breathless, you get swelling around the ankles, legs, eyelids and face, sweat alot, feel dizzy and naseous, have a poor apetite but still have weight gain and your lungs get congested also your heart rate may speed up. It can be because of underlying heart problems!
Cardiac arrest is when your heart stops beating!

Cardiac arrest is when a blockage stops blood circulating around the heart. This then means the heart is not feed and stops. it needs to be shocked into rhythm again to help it work. Failure is a slow process where muscle loose their power and the heart is inefficient it then causes all sorts of circulation problems and is serious. Arrest is very much a matter of quick intervention. Failure is a job for the medics and cardiologists to sort out.
