You need to get on a First Aid course with the Red Cross or something. You can't rely on total strangers on the internet to give you the right information regarding life or death situations.

I'm glad you are not going to be my social care worker! Jesus, you are scary!

phone doctor

call 911

For all this you have to make sure that you person hurt is not close to immediate danger and call for help, doctor, ambulance, fire brigade but if you don't know don't do anything!

dial 999l

is the an emergency?

Make sure you know a good lawyer

cpr......chest compressions and mouth to mouth ....or just drive um to the hospital...fist thing you do is call 911

Do you want us to take your exam too?...... Seriously though you can get good books on 1st aid from any good bookstore such as W H Smiths or Amazon... also the library under the health section.. Good luck!!

The most important thing to do is to see that the person is breathing. If he is having a cardiac arrest he also have to lay down and rest. Open shirt and tie, fresh air. Calm him down. If a person has fainted you let him lie on his side, head back - make sure he is breathing.

Then call 911. They will see that an ambulance is on its way if needed and they will tell you what to do next.

Cardiac arrest - loosen any tight clothing make sure they are in no immediate danger call emergency services, they will guide you through what you may need to do.

If somebody faints or loses conciousness. put them in the recovery position, Depending on why they lost conciousness you call emergency services. If they only fainted wait till they come round and talk to them. If they were hit on the head then call emergency services, keep talking to them when they come round and keep them warm and still.

Burns and scalds, if it is a burn from a heat source apply wet cold towels to the area or put them in a cold bath and call emergency services if the burns are all over the body if it is only on one part of the body wrap it in a towell and take them to the emergency room.
If it is a chemical burn wash it with warm milk and take to the emergency room straightaway.

Poisoning - you need to learn what the person has swallowed as epicac can make them vomit but some kinds of poison you dont want them to vomit as it can cause burns to the throat.

Seizures - you need to make sure there are no hard bits of furniture in the area where tehy are having the seizure anything they can hurt themselves on. Put a jumper or something under their head to stop them hitting it. When the seizure is over, put them in the recovery position and then cover them with a blanket. Talk to them calmly and call emergency services. They will be very bewildered and also will have a headache.

Cardiac Arrest: Give cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to help keep the cardiac arrest victim alive until emergency help arrives. CPR keeps blood and oxygen flowing to the heart and brain until defibrillation can be administered.During cardiac arrest a victim loses consciousness, stops normal breathing and loses pulse and blood pressure.

Burns : After immediate treatment with cold water, burns should be left alone. If blisters form, they are best left to burst of their own accord, or to dry up naturally. Large blisters, especially if on the face or legs or arms, often benefit from a medical opinion, in case they get infected. Any signs such as worsening pain, reddening of the skin or swelling in the area of a burn can indicate an early infection. This can be a serious complication that would require medical advice.

Electrocution:
Assure scene safety, i.e. by ascertaining that the source of electricity is removed from the patient and the rescue area. Call appropriate public service agencies for assistance if needed.

Maintain universal blood and body fluid precautions.

Maintain an open airway and assist ventilations as needed. Assume spinal and other potential traumatic injuries when appropriate and treat accordingly.

Administer high flow oxygen by non-rebreather mask or bag valve mask as determined by patient's condition.

Control/stop any identified life threatening hemorrhage (direct pressure, pressure points, etc.)

If patient is in cardiopulmonary arrest:

Initiate CPR with supplemental oxygen

Apply AED/SAED to determine VF/VT, if AED/SAED credentialled.

ALS STANDING ORDERS

a. Provide advanced airway management, if indicated.

b. Initiate IV Normal Saline (KVO).

Manage burn injuries and or entrance and exit wounds as indicated. If extensive burns (moderate to severe) noted, manage patient according to Burn Protocol.

Contact Paramedic intercept, if deemed necessary and if available.

Initiate transport as soon as possible with or without Paramedics.

Notify receiving hospital.

Epileptic Seizure: I'm not entirely sure of this- you need to ask some professionals on this.. but i think the first thing you should do is place a metal spoon (not a sharp object) in the victims mouth to firstly prevent him/her from biting his tongue off..

Sorry.. for the moment this is all the info i have. Best of Luck

I'm surprised someone with spelling as atrocious as yours is even aware of the existence of NVQs, never mind trying for a level 2 in Social Care. Read a book.

Go to the Red Cross and ask about certification. Do not get your answers from the Internet because you will only get flooded with false information that confuses you. Anyway, if you arn't certified in CPR it is possible you could get sued or charged with a crime for attempting it on your own.
If you have a medical emergency before you get certified just call 911 and describe the location, the symptoms of the victim, and let the dispatcher tell you what to do.
