Renal Carcinoma?

I was having renal cell carcinoma and undervent for nephroctomy around 6 months back. Kemotherapy is going to be compleeted(Interon A injuction) I have only one Kidny now and is there any chance for further tumer on the live kidny?

there is always a chance, I had only one kidney and they did a partial nephrectomy, About five years ago, it came back about 3 years later, and they did a tumor ablation where they burnt it out. I didn't go through chemo, but I would hope that after your going through it that it has irradiated the cancer cells.that may have been missed.
The best we can do is to do our best to keep positive, make sure you go back for tests to keep an eye on things. And if this 60 year old body can function on less the 2/3 of a kidney, hay keep your chin up. your gonna beat this.

there is always a chance, that's why you do follow up visits with your doctor but it seems u have chosen a good line of treatment that should irradicate the cancer before it spreads. good luck :)

Your Oncologist must have discussed frankly with you and your family. If the desease is detected in its first and second stages, the chances of your recovering are very very good.Be frank and bold and there is nothing to worry about. How old are you and how is your general health also helps.
I can say with confidence that your confidence level and fighting spirit gives the doctor more confidence to cure you soon and 100%

Get rid of your condition definitely by learning and doing quality meditation through the process of self-realization for an hour daily under the guidance of an experienced and result oriented spiritual teacher.

Sure there is a chance. Your doctor's should have discussed this with you. You had a nephrectomy, great. I assume you had a radical, not partial, nephrectomy. This helps to ensure that they got the entire tumor out. Now you are doing chemotherapy. What about radiation? Both treatments are done to kill any tumor that may be remaining.

Once treatment is complete you will be put on a follow up protocol. They will test every so many months for several years to make sure you don't have a recurrence and if you do, to catch it very early.

I don't want to scare you or bring you down, but there is always a chance with cancer. It could have matastisized (spread). And cancer can always come back after it's gone into remission. Again, I'm sorry to offer this scary statement.

I understand your concerns. I had a partial nephrectomy just over a month ago, and yes it is possible but, you will be undergoing checkups to make sure all is well, and if not - it will be caught early. Always ask your medical team lots of questions and dont stop until you get the information you need. Alot of our recovery is emotional as well as physical - dont worry, there are many and I am one, who will support you. Big hugs to you and stay positive.
