Squamou cell carcinoma radiation treatments? |
My husband was diagnosed after over 2 years with squamou cell carcinoma on the tongue and epiglotttis. He has taken 60 radiation treatments and is very ill. What happens if the tumor is not gone. The doctors say no chemo or sugery. Whats Next? Ask why he can't get chemo. No surgery may be explainable but why won't they give chemo a shot? Clearly, it can be used! If your husband has been treated for squamous cell of the tongue for two years then you probably know what failing treatment will eventually mean. If you haven't been going with him to his oncologist appointments, you should but I'm guessing you already know the prognosis. Read up on things at this web page and then spend as much time with him as possible. I'm very sorry that I can't give you a different answer or advice. all the best |
