CO poisoning is the leading cause of accidental poisoning deaths in the US. Yes, you should be worried. Buy a CO detector to be safe. Especially if you have: If you use propane or natural gas for your furnace, water heater, and/or cooking, you need to have carbon monoxide monitors in your home. It is odorless, so you wouldn't smell it like you would a gas leak. First I would suggest a Carbon Monoxide detector anyways. I myself put that one up there along with the smoke detectors. Carbon Monoxide poisoning is a genuine threat to individuals in households where you depend on gas or fuel oil for heat. |
