What food contains Carbohydrates?

I know bread and pasta are the most popular carbohydrates, but what else contains/are carbohydrates?
I want to lose weight and reduce carbohydrates is my goal, I just don't know what else are carbohydrates

reducing carbs isn't necessarily a good ideal that is how your body gets its energy to move think and basically do what it does. you need to think more about trans fats and sugars.

Lots of them (ex. breads, grains)

Peas & corn are also high in carbs.........

Sugar is a carbohydrate, so anything sweetened has carbs. Potatoes, grains and fruits are all major sources of carbs.

If you're going to cut carbs, cut out things like sweets, breads, pasta, etc and keep eating plenty of fruits and vegetables. That way you can cut down the calories without missing out on important vitamins and minerals.

Here is a website that may help you get started.

rice, chips, crisps, chocolate, even some fruits like bananas have a high carb content.

have things like low fat yogurt, vegetables, lean meat and fish. if you are going to have carbs then the best ones for you are wholemeal - wholemeal bread, rice and pasta. very good for you.

pretty much anything but meat is a carb.

but natural sugars like in fruit r better than obviosuly a lollipop

Consequently, it is important to choose carbohydrates wisely. Foods in the basic food groups that provide carbohydrates鈥攆ruits, vegetables, grains, and milk鈥攁re important sources of many nutrients. Choosing plenty of these foods, within the context of a calorie-controlled diet, can promote health and reduce chronic disease risk. However, the greater the consumption of foods containing large amounts of added sugars, the more difficult it is to consume enough nutrients without gaining weight. Consumption of added sugars provides calories while providing little, if any, of the essential nutrients.

Let me tell you... Carbs arent bad... particular kinds of Carbs such as starches are what you need to watch for. If you want to loose weight and eat well... a healthy way to do it is to cut out startch such as white breads, white pastas, white grains, sugars, potatoes, fries, chips, etc. The types of Carbs you should eat are whole grain fiberous Carbs like fruits, whole grain breads, whole grain/spinich pastas, etc.

Basically veer away from processed startch and eat plenty of fruit and protein. Protein keeps you fuller longer :).

Good luck!

Nearly every food that is not meat contains carbs. If in doubt, check the label on the food packaging.

You can also find many databases on line that will give the nutritional value of food.

Be careful not to drop too many carbs. After-all, they are the fuel your body needs to function.

Just think of starches, fruits, grains & flour & you should nail most of them. Dairy has some. Corn & peas are two of the hidden surprises many don't think of.
Good luck in your goals!

Pasta, whole grain breads and beans.
