Carbohydrates in! = Sugar out! ...Right?

Aren't the words carbohydrate and sugar(s) synonyms for the same thing?

If so, how would anyone know when they have taken in to much or to many carbohydrates in one setting for a balanced meal, for that meal, or any meal for that matter, if "all"
carbohydrates turn into sugar.

What is a diabetic's options, or any of us who are trying desperately to lose weight in "real or realistic time".

My motive for asking is that I am in serious trouble. Any serious answers would be appreciated at this time.

Thanks

Carbs do turn into sugar but the Glycemic index is what you need to be watching, the lower the number the better the carbs ( they turn into sugar slower ). You can get a book on this at any health food store. If you are in as much trouble as you say then you need to consult a physician right away.

Good Luck and don't forget to exercise at least 30 minutes 3-4 times a week or more if you can, also keep in mind that you can break up those sessions into 3-10 minutes sessions per day and still get the same effect.
You might also seek the help of a registered dietitian who works with diabetics regularly.

My partner is type 2, and lost over 90 pounds in the first year he was diagnosed. He now runs marathons and will be 50 this year (my hero!) Check out his blog. You can email him from there and he will gladly answer any questions about diabees you may have.

They are not synonyms, but carbs turn to sugar, so it is moot. Go to a doctor or a nutritionist and you'll find out the best diet plan for you. You look up the carbs on each food, figure out max you can eat in a meal, and stick to it. And yes, you can eat desserts. In moderation.

Carbs do convert into sugar, so be cautious. There are many good sources of info to help you figure out what to do. Ask your doctor, or go to the American Diabetes Association website.
