Carbohydrates in liquor?? |
I've been diagnosed as hypoglcemic. Does anybody know what liquor has the lowest amount of sugar/carbohydrates??? Here is a site listing the calories and carbs. Basic vodka, rum, whiskey, etc have no carbs. Vodka has ZERO Vodka. most of your straight up liquors like vodka, plain rum, whiskey, etc have no carbs/sugars but mixers, schnapps, anything sweet all do & the alcohol can cause hypoglycemic reactions...heres a site to visit that you can order this book for only $7 & it has carb/calori/& fat listings for about ANYTHING you could possibly ever need to know including a section on alcoholic beverages, premixed, bottled, beer, ALL of them & a fast food section, I swear by this pocket sized life saver...go to www.calorieking.com, you can order on line or most your larger chain book stores carry it, or if you see a nutritionist they will be able to get you one rum has none but please be careful alcohol dehydrates you and can damage your kidneys and when this happens to diabetics you can't reverse it easily. See heres the thing about alcohol: Initially, it will higher your blood sugar, but later on (ie, when u wait up in the morning) it will have lowered your blood sugar. |
