How may carbohydrates equal 1 carb?


I am doing a carb counting diet, and I am limited to 15 carbs. My question is I can't remember if 5 grams of carbohydrates equals 1 carb or if 15 grams of carbohydrates equals 1 carb. Any ideas??

in most diets 15 grams = 1 carb

A carb is an abbreviation for the word carbohydrate.
