How many carbohydrates a day for a normal, healthy person?? |
What would be the maximun "normal" intake of carbohydrates? ~try this: 30 I feel that the only carbohydrates that we should not consume is processed foods. I know that brown rice has carbohydrates in it but its fiber content is much higher. I feel that you could loose weight eating it every day. I know that fresh fruits and veggies has lots of carbohydrates in them but I don't like that the Atkins dies does not allow many of them. I had a friend that went on the diet and lost lots of weight but her skin was baggy. So don't eliminate the fresh fruits and veggies! Good Luck! EAT COMPLEX CARB AND AVOID SIMPLE CARBS. Usually carbohydrates should make up 40-65% of your daily caloric intake - that is, if you need 1800 calories a day to maintain your weight, your carbohydrate intake should be between 180 and 293 gm of carb. Make sure you focus on 'good' carbs - otherwise known as 'complex' carbs - whole grains, fruits and vegetables, legumes, limiting your intake of sugars and processed white flour. |
