How much protein, carbohydrates and fat should I eat daily? |
I was wondering, how to determine how much protein, carbohydrates and fat I need to consume daily? I am a 20 year old girl, 5'6", 120lbs. I'm active, but definitely not a marathon-er or anything like that. I just want to make sure I'm getting an adequate amount of nutrients. this is what I came up with for myself after struggling to find an answer -- would you be able to answer my questions, i need to know how to put flesh back onto my daughters ribs I was watching the Today Show yesterday and they had a segment about the Biggest Loser Show. The person featured was talking about exactly what you are asking about. I'm sure if you go to their website you can still find the information. All I remember is that 40% should come from complex carbs. I thought it was funny because on previous seasons on The Biggest Loser, carbs were pretty much banned by the contestants. They were definitely going by the Atkins Diet back then. Now that everyone knows that cutting out all carbs is bad, they've introduced carbs back into the diet. You're not overweight, so as long as you stick with what you're eating, I'd just take a multi-vitamin to help you even more. I've added the link so you can find that segment from yesterday's show. |
