Why is eating too much carbohydrates bad for you?

They say eating too much carbohydrates is bad for you. Why?

Carbs are an energy source, but if you don't use that energy your body stores it as fat. Carbs are sugars, but you need carbs. Just don't eat more than you need.

Carbs are sugar and when not used this turns to fat

If you're bulking up your should be taking in about 40% of your food in carbs, then 30% in protein, and 20% in fat. So it all depends on how much you're doing in a day and how much energy you will need..if you eat alot of carbs and do nothing it's pointless you will get fat.

carbs are sugars and they make your blood sugar spike and can lead to diabetes if you eat to many of them
