Carbohydrates - Question?

if you consume lots of carbs and dont work out you might put on weight but how much grams of carbs dose it take to gain one pound.

It depends on your metabolism and specific body chemistry. For example, a person who is insulin resistant will react to the carbs by storing the cals as fat that is near impossible to burn (experience, thank you) and no matter how they exercize it will stay as fat whereas someone who does not have that problem will burn more of those cals than store them.

Good luck, HTH

i aint know that dawg, but good luck.

If you consume an extra 100 calories a day that you don't burn: proteins, carbs, fats, doesn't matter, you will gain five pounds a year.

actually, no one can say that.. it depends upon the metabolism of the person.. as we know, there are some people who eat much but does not gain the expected weight he should in accordance to the level of his eating. and there are some who dont eat much gains weight easily...

There are a lot of factor that play into it, age, weight, health and it still can vary from day to day. It will be best to experiment with the carbs and find out for yourself.

Just try to use this rule: only eat food that is under 5 grams per 100 grams in carbohydrates

huh................
