Cannabis addiction?

I have just recently stopped using cannabis after smoking it almost every day for the past 10 years. does anybody have any tips or advice on how to get through this? Dont think I could face a NA meeting yet. Thanks

STOP CHEATING YOURSELF OUT OF THE BEST SUPPORT SYSTEM YOU WILL EVER FIND!
Park your ego and go to a meeting. Listen for the similarities in what people say, regardless of their/your drug of choice.
There is so much wisdom and compassion in 12 step meetings, and in my experience you will not succeed in staying off the dope without a solid support system!

You have been added to my prayers at the end of my meeting tonight!

get your self a nice pint of larger mate !!!!!! gud luck i try'd it

..... but ?
did not work !!!!! lol
gud luk!!

um...chamomile tea?

Sorry, I never did manage it. What's the harm?

always remember the reason ur quittin. keep that in ur mind and every time u want somethink of that. also find things to do tokeep ur mind off of it. if ur havin a hard time stay away from anyone that uknow would smoke one w/u.

I would suggest getting plenty of rest and drink a lot of water to flush out your system. Also eat healthier, fruits and veggies

Well good for you for quitting, but you have no excuse not to go to N/A find one in your area and go tonight. You look on line for ones in your area. Don't hang with people still smoking your new at this you could relapse. My daughter has been through all of this and she preferred N/A for drugs over A/A. You don't have to talk just listen it can be a great support for you. Also eat good food drink lots of water and drink grape juice it cleanses the system I did when I quit smoking cigs, I quit those after 25 years 11 years ago and I know it was harder than what you quit LOL but good luck to you and stay clean

So you're not ready to face a NA meeting yet. Its ok, it happens. But you should make a promise to yourself that if you slip up and do use cannabis, that you -will- attend one. For your own sake, you should memorize where and when your local N.A. meets up. You know. Just in case.

But just because you're not going to N.A. doesn't mean you should go out and do something. Cannabis can make you feel unmotivated in life - so get motivated! You need to stay busy right now, because just sitting around idly is where your problems are going to start. See if your local community center had a class or a sport league you can join - many of those are for beginners. Look for events in the community that you can attend - even if you don't think they look super great, the point is, you're not just sitting around. Enroll in a class at a local college - there's a lot to do.

If you're out, if you're active, then you're going to be meeting people. You're going to get an active social life - one that doesn't revolve around cannabis. I've quit, I've had friends that have quit - I know its hard! But after quitting, I went out, joined a group in my community, got politically active - it was totally worth it.

That's my advice.

Some of the commonly experienced symptoms of marijuana withdrawal are cravings, anxiety, insomnia, a loss of appetite, and many others. A great way to help alleviate the severity of many of these symptoms is through vigorous and prolonged exercise.

through exercise you sweat out some of the metabolites, you fire off endorphins and you build a great whole body tiredness that can help get you to sleep at night!

Do something you enjoy, and take a day doing it. Go for a hike, a bike ride, go sailing...whatever will keep you busy, get your heart rate pumping and build a bit of an appetite.

You'll stay busy and active, which will help you get your mind off the weed for a bit too!

Marijuana withdrawal symptoms will begin to subside in a few days, so you're almost past the worst of it, and you owe it yourself to hold on just a little bit longer.

Good luck to you.
