Harmful effects of Alcohol Vs. Cannabis? |
When they do these studies compairing cannabis to cigaretts it doesn't really tell me anything. I am a non-smoker. I would like to see them compare alcohol and cannabis. I think the findings would be shocking. Alcohol is much worse for individuals and society in general. Agree? yes. i agree. Completely agree. I would rather have 1,000 stoned drivers over 1 drunk driver (though I would rather the 1,000 stoners to be at home!). agree.... no one has ever overdosed on cannabis. I'm sure alcohol has much worse health effects for an individual. But both are huge probelms for society because of the way people act while under the influence. No in all reality they are both equally as bad. They both kill brain cells, marijuana has the same damage as tobacco cigarettes, but even worse because it has more tar. Even though cigarettes have 5000 chemicals blah blah, most of those chemicals are in the food we eat too, its the tar that gives you throat and lung cancer. Alcohol can damage your liver and give you mouth cancer. The beauty of it though is that if you use them moderately like once a week nothing will happen. Remember everything in moderation. If you ever smoke weed, you, like most people will give it up when ever you get your first actual job, due to drug tests. both are dangerous if you are behind the wheel of any vehicle. taken in excess both are dangerous to the person. Alcohol can be healthy if taken in moderate amounts, wine and beer especially being good for the blood. Marijuana taken moderately can be good for helping some problems like muscle cramps, nausea from chemo and glaucoma and in small amounts, even lowers blood pressure. But excess alcohol can affect every organ of the body and eventually do permanent damage. Excess marijuana can be as addicting as alcohol and can damage the lungs and the brain and possibly affect the stomach and intestines. Both are mind-altering drugs and affect judgement and reaction time while making the user think they can handle driving. No difference between the two as far as driving. Both are dangerous on the road. One last bit.... as I'm sure both you geniuses know, marijuana stays in the body longer than alcohol. So if you are driving and in an accident and taken to the hospital where they have to draw blood, you can get a DWI if marijuana shows up even if you haven't used it that day or the day before or whenever. Hope I don't see either of you on the road! |

Cannabis is unfiltered...and usually much hotter smoke because of holding a flame over it while inhaling (if smoked out of a pipe or bong) ...Nope. Not at all. That's all the answer I'm going to give potheads. ...Most kids I know that smoke weed, complain of not being able to remember what they are supposed to be learning in school. If they quit smoking, then they can remember stuff. But I don't know... for the most part in this forum you are dealing with people who aren't necessarily a cohort that will be sensitive to the reality of cannabis use. I can assure you both on a professional and ... I thought you felt like that smoking cannabis ...make it into butter and eat it. I do not usually do that I heard that it last longer as a high. I do not blame you. I won't give it up either. You could always make a tea as well. I do... I do nothing special with mine. I just put it in a big mason jar with a lid and open it up once in a while to let it breath. I do not get my full amount at one time. When I run out I go get more. ... It's all about you, man! If it feels right with no negative effects, then by all means carry on! Now on the other hand, if you find yourself being a bit lazy, not doing the household chores ... |
