Can scoliosis warrant the prescription of cannabis?

When i was in 8th grade we had a scoliosis check in physical education. like any other kid, i thought it was a joke and that it was just a way to skip a few mins of class. when i got to the examiner in line, she looked at my back and told me i had scoliosis. the next day i went to the doctor and indeed i did. a 15 degree C curvature to the left. now that im in highschool, i came to the epiphany that this is a double edged sword, because i realized that my condition might warrant a prescription to medical cannabis. im wondering about this, not only because i love my greens, but because my back actually does hurt sometimes, around 2 months out of the year, and my spine cracks with alarming ease. does anyone know if im eligible, and if cards can be prescribed to people like me when im 18?

There are a couple of things to consider.

First, understand that I think medical thc for pain, nausea, and anorexia works very well for some patients, and should be used in the US.

Second, regardless of what your state has in the decriminalization plan, and the use of "medical cards". Cannabis sativa is still an illegal substance in the US under federal law, which superceded state law. The laws in your state will be challenged and overturned. And you can still be arrested by federal DEA agents for possession even with a "medical card" it has no value under federal law.

Finally, I don't really feel your condition of occasional back pain, secondary to scoliosis is an indication for any narcotic pain medication including cannabis. You need physical therapy and/or chiropractic help, not any form of medication or "greens".

But, you have obviously not let the lack of a medical card stop you in the past, and I doubt it will slow you down much in the future.

I doubt you would get a RX. You would have to exhibit constant suffering pain.

If you are in California you can. Scolisosis is on the list of conditions that a doctor can give you an Rx for it. And it does work very well for mild to moderate pain. I've had a Rx for bud for several years due to a spine injury.

Just go to the NORML website and you can find out if the state you live in has legalize medical use of it.

I doubt that you could ever get it for mild scoliosis. You would need to be in some serious pain, which you are not. There are better, legal ways of treating your back.
