Canker sore thingys?

I feel dumb asking this but is it true that if you have a canker sore and then have oral sex and then have sex (condomless) then you will get herpes? My friend told me about this but you know how you cant trust everyone.

Also, is it normal to have canker sores? I have one right now on my tounge and now Im freaking out. Even though I get tested im still scared!

Canker sores and herpes are two different things. You can only get herpes from someone who has herpes - canker sores do not turn into herpes and cannot cause herpes.

If you perfomed oral sex on someone who has genital herpes when you had a canker sore in your mouth there would be an increased risk of you contracting the herpes virus because of the open sore.

So to avoid getting herpes practice safer sex (for all forms of sex, incuding oral).

It is only true if your partner has herpes. It is also true because a canker sore is an open sore. Canker sore in contact with herpes cut or blister. Keep in mind.Blood to blood.Semen to Semen.
It is very normal to have canker sores. I have had them since I was 11. It runs in my family.
If you have cold sores(different from canker sores), I would definitely see a doctor immediately.
