Canker Sore is killing me! Help!?

I have been putting salt directly on it for the last couple days and now the canker sore is nearly 3 times the size that it originally was! Plus, half my lip and face is swollen now! I am out to sea right now and won't be on land for another week, so I don't really have access to drug stores to buy any ointments and such. Can someone help me!!??

sometimes toothpaste can cause them, through irritation of the toothbrush bristles or from the sodium laurel stuff in the toothpaste.

Avoid acidy foods like tomatoes, orange juice or lemon juice, pickles, etc.

You could try putting baking soda on it (bicarbonate of soda). It is basic which could counteract the acidity.

Take a multiple vitamin in case you are low on B vitamins or other vitamins.

I get super bad canker sores too! I hear your pain! Try putting either toothpaste right on it or if you can get your hands on hydrogen peroxide, do a 1:1 ration with water. Do not swallow! And I will tell you it taste like poo! But my DR has me do this when i get super bad strep and it gets ride of it way faster!

Tea Tree Oil will help with the pain and any infection.you can get it at wal-mart near the vitamins it cost 5.96 you can read about Tea Tree Oil on the internet.
