what should i do when i get a canker sore, it hurts a lot. i tried water and salt by gargling in my mouth and it only worked for a few seconds then it hurts. my sister said i should brush my teeth on it but it hurts. please tell me Get something called ambisol, it is a liquid. It stings like hell when you put it on, but your canker soar will be numb for a good hour or so.. Great relief
Avoid salty and acidly foods. Also don't brush your teeth with toothpaste (something in most toothpastes will agitate it and make it worse).
Great time to fast for a day or two.. There are over the counter creams that you can use to reduce the pain. Check them out at your local pharmacy. the best thing you can use to take away pain from a canker sore is the medicine called Abreva. It comes in a little blue tube and it works really well. My girlfriend has them. Believe it or not, it is a form of herpes and is contaigous. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES brush it with your toothbrush. |
