How many people use a cane or walking stick? Where can I review the statistics?

People injured or with some diseases or phisical problems use canes as an aid to walk. I am interested in the statistics of the number of people using canes.

I often have to use one or the other, but I tend to buy these at second hand stores. There would be no record of my use
I imagine alot of people may be the same. I have disease.

i use A cane because i have an artificial leg. i do not now how you would find out how many people use one. i would think people who are older or have a disease that effects their walking will use one. i am only 37 so you do not have to be older to use one.
