Walking Cane for Back Pain?

I have been struggling with back pain for a long time, I've been reading up on ways to relieve it and I read somewhere that a cane might help. I don't care about how it would look but does anyone think it's possible that a cane might help? I thought canes were only for leg/foot injuries. I have this decorative cane that I've been walking with around the house and it does help a little, it kind releaves the stress on my back but I realize that if I do walk with a cane I need a proper one, I was just kind of test driving it lol. So does anyone think a cane for back pain might be beneficial?

I have used one in the past and it did make me more stable when out doors. The problem I found was that it made me lean which over time caused more problems. So I gave up the cane and concentrate on walking straight now.
