Hip replasement?

i am a 16 and i had a bilateral hip replasement on the 18th of september and i am still walking with two canes. also i had not started physical therapy. i was wondering if this is normal for me not to be walking on my own.

You should be in physical therapy. You should have started that 2 weeks ago. That's why you aren't getting better.

Has your MD told you why you aren't in PT yet? Usually there has to be a REALLY good reason for going a month post op without PT. You might want to check and make sure that a prescription wasn't written and you just have to take it to a rehab place to have it "filled".

Yes you can get disability... go to your local Social Secerity office and apply... They will probably turnyou down but dont get discouraged....APPEAL IT!!!!!
