Female issues: Candidiasis and the Ring?

If this question grosses you out, then you shouldnt' be reading it.

I believe I have a yeast infection. I've had a few in the past, and the symptoms feel the same. However, this go around, I'm using the birth control method The Nuvaring. This ring stays in place until you're ready for your period. So how do I treat my infection with the ring? Is it safe to have both at the same time? (please don't suggest oral antibiotics, as my insurance has not kicked in at my new job yet.) Any help would be appreciated!!

Yes you can use Over the Counter medications for your yeast infection such as Monistat. It doesnt have any effect on the Ring.

Nuvaring isnt affected by vaginal moisturizers OR yeast infection creams.
