Does candidiasis lead to infertility.i have had it for sometime and never concieved but been trying to? Candida is a yeast that normally occurs in the mouth, vagina and intestines without causing any symptoms. This is not an STD, but in women sex may irritate the vagina and allow candida to grow more than usual. If an overgrowth of this fungus occurs, it may produce an itchy vaginal discharge which requires anti-fungal treatment. Male partners do not require treatment. No it doesnt, i get it often and was also worried. I am undergoing fertility treatment and my doc said it doesnt get into the cervix and cause any damage. Are you sure thats what it is? Other infections can cause problems with fertility so its worth going along to your doc and getting it checked out. Just say you are trying for a baby and want to check you are in the best of health. They will send swabs and wont bat an eyelid. It will also be worth it if you have been trying a while as they can give you support and advice. Good luck x here are some links with lots of info |
